At Hednesford Active FC, we understand that mental health is just as important as physical health. That’s why we’ve created a dedicated initiative, "Active in Support, We Care", to ensure that every member of our club—players, coaches, and parents—has the support they need, on and off the pitch.

Building confident players from the very first kick
Who’s it for?
Our development sessions are open to boys and girls of all abilities aged 3 and up. Whether they’re just starting out or looking to build on their skills, our sessions are the perfect introduction to football in a fun, safe, and supportive environment.
Session Groups:
• Future Stars (Ages 3–5)
• Junior Development (Ages 6–8)
• Youth Development (Ages 9+)
What to expect:

📍 Saturday Mornings – Kingsmead School, Hednesford
📍 Wednesday Evenings – Shelfield Ormiston Academy, Walsall
Pay-as-you-play – no monthly commitment.
Just £6 per session.

From First Kicks to Football Futures
At Hednesford AFC, we’re proud to play a part in every player’s journey — whether it’s their very first session or a step towards something bigger.
Here are just a few examples of what our environment can help unlock:

Two of our players are part of the Wolves Pre-Academy, with one having been with us since he was just 3 years old.

Another player has earned a place in the West Brom Pre-Academy, showing incredible growth through our programme.

One of our standouts, who started with us at 3 years old, is now training with Aston Villa’s Academy after being scouted this year.

Several players from our U11–U14 teams are now competing at MJPL and JPL level.

A young player who was coached by us from an early age was scouted at 12 and is now part of the Walsall U16 squad, having trained with our club coaches for four years.

One of our former U13 players, who scored over 100 goals in three seasons with us from U11 to U13, is now playing for Rushall Olympic — and was recently invited for trials and extended training with Aston Villa Academy.
